Bow wow all
Well, I just wanted to let you know that mom is at work right now, but she is not feeling so well. Last night she decided to take me downtown for some “socialization”, as she calls it. I say ,she is the one that was getting socialized!!
She and her friend Rose drove me to this big building where we parked our car. There were a lot of parked cars in there. But I, didn’t really mind, as I knew the collar she had on me, was loose enough, that if I really wanted to I could get it over my head, or so I thought.
The first place we stopped was kinda cool. It had all kinds of stuff for me. Toys, bones, and OH NO, new collars!!! Before I knew it, this new purple collar was around my neck and it was quite snug!! So much for making a run for it. Anyway, on our way out of this store, I heard someone from the sky yelling mom’s name. I heard mom tell Rose that it was Anthony, her boss. He apparently lives on top of this building. There were a bunch of people with him all hanging out on this deck that overlooks the water. The next thing I know, we are climbing up these stairs to where all the people are. The music was much louder than mom ever plays it, but I didn’t mind, I actually liked it.
I immediately went out to the deck and saw all these tug boats and people sitting at tables eating and having fun. All the men had brown bottles in their hands. The next thing I know, mom and Rose have glasses with stuff that looks like pee in them. I’ve seen mom drinking pee before, I think she must give me all the water in the house, and there is none left for her, so she drinks pee. She must love me.
Then a women comes in , and YEH, she is carrying a little fluffy white dog. Oh great!!… someone to play with. Well, maybe not. She ran away from me the minute her mom put her down. Now, I think she wants to play tag, but her mom came running over and scooped her up in her arms again. She was just no fun at all!
Obviously this little white dog thought she was just too good to play with me, because every time her mom put her down, she cried and acted scared. I think it must have been that we were way up on top of the building that scared her, because it certainly couldn’t have been me! Its ok, because later I learned that she was WAY too old for me anyway, she was 6 years old!
After mom and her friend had 2 or 3 glasses of pee, I heard mom say that we needed to get going. She said that I probably need to go out to pee!!! Who is she kidding, she is the one that’s been drinking it all night!!!
Anyway, we go down that very steep flight of stairs and I hear them talking about where we can pee. So we walk and every time there is the slightest spot of grass or dirt, mom stops and tells me to “do my business.”
Now, I don’t see her “doing her business” in the streets with all these people watching , so who does she think I am??? Some CPPP, cheap public peeing puppy? I don’t think so. Not me!!!
Finally they seem to realize that I am NOT going to do MY business out in public, so we continue to walk. Then as we are walking, some guy runs out of this place called Cava, and hugs mom. I hear mom introduce him to Rose as the bartender in this restaurant . Next think I know, mom and Rose are sitting at a table outside with ANOTHER glass of pee! Water must be in really short supply around here!
Mom, gives me my bully stick to play with. We end up hanging there for awhile, so I just took a nap.
Next thing I know, were off again. Now, mind you, I am getting pretty darn hungry, as I have not eaten yet!
So back to the car and off we go. When we got home, mom fed me, while her and Rose drank some MORE pee!!!
They seem to be having a good time, as they laughed more than normal. They also played with me a lot!!
After I “Did my business”, I was just too tired to play anymore, so I got in my bed, and called it a night. I did notice Rose walked home and mom went to bed.
Well, its 4:45 AM and normally if I stir in my crate, mom is down in no time at all. But, I had to stir more than normal. Finally around 5:15 mom came down.
She didn’t look very happy, as I think she must be getting sick. She looked a bit pale.
She came over and didn’t even play with me. She just let me out and told me to “do my business”, then she put me back to bed again???
Next think I know, she went back upstairs.. Hey mom, where’s my breakfast???
Oh well, I can always use another nap!!!
2 hours later, mom finally comes down again. This time she hugs and kisses me like normal, but she still looks a bit pale.
Finally, breakfast and a little play outside.
Then she goes back upstairs. This is when she comes down, smelling much better and all dressed up for work.
Well, while she was up there, I decided to have a little fun. My water bowl is always STUCK to this little carpet on the floor. I think mom does that so I won’t spill it.
Let see if I can get it unstuck!!!! OOPS, OH KNOW, SHES COMING!!!
I know!!! I will hide the bowl under my butt and she will never notice!!!
I wonder if I’m in trouble??? She looks a little mad!!!, oh wait…. She is now laughing and she’s got that stupid camera again.
Well, I guess she’s not mad after all. I think hiding the bowl worked. She never even noticed!!!

You may not get what you "think" you want, but you definately get what you need!
I was convinced for 1 year, that I was getting a male dual Shiloh.
Then the litter was born. One male dual, one male sable, two female sables and four white puppies. I knew the male dual was taken, so I had to choose to stick with this litter or move on too another. I have to say, that sticking with this litter was one of the best moves in my life. Jan knew what I was looking for in my puppy. She never tried to push me in any direction, just focused on what I was "really" looking for in my dog. When it came time to make a decision, it was easy. Cazen, then Kokanee, was everything I was looking, bar the sex and color. She appeared to be a gray sable, but Jan insisted that she was not. As you can see in the photo's, Cazen is not a gray sable. She is a beautiful brown sable with so much personality it often brings tears to my eyes, thinking I almost lost her because I was so fixed on a dual male. Cazen is so much more than I could have ever hoped for. She is smart, gentle, and thoughtful. I know describing a dog as thoughtful is not normal, but just wait. If you are as lucky as I to get one of these pups, you will understand and agree.
Currently Cazen is 10 months old. She has sucessfully earned her Canine Good Citizen Award when she was only 6 month old. She has attended and was very successful at a tracking seminar, agility class and has an obedience level way beyond her age. She reads and know the meaning of 18 written words right now. That list grows rapidly. Am I partial to my pup? You better believe it. I wouldnt switch her for any other Shiloh in the world. For anyone that "thinks" they "must" have a certain color, or sex, (other than for breeding purposes) be careful not to pass up what you really need.
